Cervinia - Matterhorn - Cervinia in 2 hours 52 minutes 02 seconds

A fantastic Fastest Known Time (FKT) record was set today. Kilian Jornet ran from Cervinia up to Matterhorn and back in less than three hours – eradicating the former record from 1995 by the legendary Bruno Brunod of 3 hours 14 minutes and 44 seconds. The amazing new record has already gained a lot of interest and a good text in Swedish with links to movies about the previous attempt is from Magnus Andersson’s blog. Astonishing pictures of the training before the run today can be seen at Kilian Jornet’s facebook page.
